celebrating 50 years at oregon state university
corvallis, ore. | october 2017
in 1967, at oregon state university, a merging of biochemists took place: mainly those from the chemistry department, with biophysicists from the then department of general physics. the result? the establishment of the department of biochemistry and biophysics at the university.
the department would quickly be in the limelight, primarily for its strength of biophysical discoveries on the structure of chromatin, carried out in laboratories there.
fast forward to today, and the department recently celebrated its 50th anniversary.
i was honored to document the festivities of the evening.
(here's to the next 50!)
